Course content 
1. Properties of semiconductor elements, stabilizers and rectifiers 2. Bipolar transistors, basic amplifier stages with bipolar transistor (SE, SB, SC), the principle function analysis of the basic characteristics (gain, input and output impedance), frequency characteristics, Miller effect 3. Basic amplifier stages with unipolar transistor (SS, SG, SD), comparing properties, evaluation 4. Multilayer switching devices, design, application examples 5. Operational amplifier, basic circuits for idealized OZ (inverting and noninverting amplifier, differential amplifier, adder, integrator), real properties 6. Principle oscillator terms of oscillation, types of oscillators and circuit solutions. Function generators, voltagecontrolled oscillator 7. Number systems as the basis for the code, Boolean algebra, logic functions and expressions 8. Ways to minimize logic functions (table, map, algebraic expression), minimization of functions 9. Logic elements with bipolar and unipolar transistors, hazards in combinational logic circuits 10. Selected logic modules: adder, subtractor, multiplexer, demultiplexer, decoder, encoder, comparator, arithmetic and logic unit 11. Sequential logic networks, flipflops, registers, counters, shift registers, a frequency divider 12. AD and DA converters, structure, properties

Learning outcomes 
The course aims to teach students the basics of analog and digital electronic circuits. The first part focuses on semiconductors, applications for rectification and voltage stabilization. They discussed bipolar and unipolar transistors, operational amplifiers and oscillators principles. The digital technique, students are familiar with the ways of minimizing logic functions are discussed combinational and sequential circuits. Finally we are presented the principles of AD and DA converters.
The student has knowledge of analog and digital circuits. He is able to analyze, design and implement both the electric circuit.

Assessment methods and criteria 
Composite examination (Written part + oral part)
Obligatory 80 % attendance at exercises, passing out test during the summer semester. Examination Examination consists of two parts: written part  examples (maximum 40 points) theoretical part (maximum 20 points) The result of a subject examination is expressed on a sixpoint scale: A "výborně" (i.e. "excellent"), B "velmi dobře" (i.e. "very good"), C "dobře" (i.e. "good"), D "uspokojivě" (i.e. "satisfactory"), E "dostatečně" (i.e. "sufficient"), F "nedostatečně" (i.e. "fail")
